The construction of the mosque which was undertaken by Zeta Designs and Constructions was a donation from the friends of Soroti University in Turkey. During the handover of the mosque by the Contactor Zeta Design and Construction company, the Vice Chancellor Soroti University thanked the Turkish friends for the donation and pledged to continue lobbying for the University and the Muslim community. He assured the Contactor of the availability of more land for the construction of conference facilities, day care, Islamic library, and any other projects beneficial to the University and Muslim community.
The mosque with the sitting capacity of about 600 people is equipped with a solar system. The donation by the Turkish is a clear sign of the cooperation between our nations in promoting peace and development.
